To promote a healthy start to spring, the pre-school committee has organized a sponsored walk in the Riverhead Parkland – a March in March!  It will be an afternoon of fun for the children including a scavenger hunt, a cake sale & woodland activities.  Families, siblings and friends welcome to join too!  Parents will get more info by email.  In your pigeon holes this week you’ll find a letter along with a sponsorship form.  You can use this to help raise money for our lovely school.

To help make this event run smoothly, we must have parent participation.  The event will take place on Tuesday, 19th of March at 13:00 – 14:30.  If your child attends the morning session we ask that you meet at the school after lunch at 12:30 to collect your child & their belongings and head to the parkland!  If your child only attends the afternoon session OR your child doesn’t attend on a Tuesday, you are more than welcome to join in the fun we ask that you meet us in the parkland at 13:00 (NB there won’t be a regular afternoon session at the school on that day.) We will meet inside the entrance gate off of St. Mary’s Drive – look for the school gazebo and table set up for our ‘base camp’.

Some things to note:

  1. Please pack a light snack & water for your child.  Normal snack won’t be provided, though we will have cakes for sale & free squash for the children.
  2. Please dress appropriately for the weather – wellies are a must this time of year!
  3. Please supervise your child at all times, it is an open park and accidents can happen, but we would like everyone to stay safe.

As always, we appreciate all your continued support and we look forward to seeing you there!
